The art of photography in Venice

Daniele Nalesso embodied the art of photography in Venice.

He started at the age of 13 when his father lent him his camera and with the photographer of the Doge’s Palace, he started photography and darkroom printing.

For 15 years he photographed events at the Hotel Excelsior and Des Bains on the Venice Lido for companies such as Goldman Sax, IBM, Nokia, Deutsch Bank, Nespresso, Diners and many other clients.

He also shot the various stages of the restoration of the crypt of St Mark Basilica.

He photographed Gabriella Windsor, daughter of Prince Michael Kent, cousin of Queen Elizabeth and the Princess of Qatar.

In addition to that, he worked for the Associated Press, shooting images of actors and directors at the Venice Film Festival.

He boasts collaborations with L Getty Images and Louis Vuitton.

Although having mixed with famous people he still remains a friendly and approachable guy. He photographed as well all our apartaments in Ca’ Sant’Angelo.

Daniele will be able to help the novice photographer as well as the experienced one to improve their techniques.

Daniele can come and collect our guests to Ca’ Sant’Angelo aprtments for an early morning photo shoot and offer you a coffee or a cappuccino at the Pasticceria Marchini before beginning to look for the best views, which certainly are not lacking in Venice.

In summer he can even take you on his small boat through narrow canals that are usually inaccessible to many people.
